This ident should encapsulate the essence of the channel, including its style, tone, and core messaging, and it should visually connect to the channel banner designed in the previous assignment. The ident clip should serve as a memorable signature intro that strengthens the channel’s branding.

- Blog: Storyboard or sketches outlining the key scenes and transitions in your ident clip to show planning and thought process.
- Blog: A short written reflection (150-200 words) explaining the concept, the decisions behind the animation and visual choices, and how the ident relates to the previously designed channel banner.
MOODBOARD:
For Assignment 2, I am tasked with designing a channel ident that captures the vibrant and colorful essence of traveling while showcasing it's fun and exciting nature. To lay the foundation for my creative process, I started by creating a mood board. A mood board is a curated collection of images, colors, and ideas that helps convey the style and mood of a project. It serves as a key tool for sparking inspiration, organizing concepts, and guiding the design. I crafted my mood board using Canva, ensuring a well-structured vision that brings my ideas to life.
For my channel ident, I use 4 different pastel colour to portray the fun in this channel ident. I use 2 tones of colour which is cool tones and warm tones. For cool tones I use blue and green. To represent the calmness and nature. Provide a sense of serenity and reliability, making your audience feel at ease. For warm tones, I use coral and yellow, to represent energy, excitement, warmth and happiness. By combining these tones, my channel ident can reflect the balance between adventure and relaxation, two core emotions tied to travel.
TYPOGRAPHY:
For my typography, I still use the same typography from my channel banner which is Lemon Milk that I downloaded in Dafont.
For my second scene, I use many circles shape to make it looks like zooming into the circle with variety of colours. For the first step, I use the background colour of the Coral and then I create another circle in white colour. I adjust the sizing from small to medium then I create another circle in yellow colour and adjust the sizing align with the white circle so when it moves it will move smoothly following the sizing.
For this scene, I want to recreate this tutorial of airplane moving around animation because it really portray my channel which is travel vlog.
In this scene, use the same background as in the first scene which is solid background in Coral colour. To make it look this channel is about travelling I search picture of passport in google and import into adobe after effects. I use effects and presets on the icon. I use twirl effects.
For my last scene, I put the channel names in wiggle animation. Which is I inspire from this tutorial on how to make the font look wiggle.
I followed the tutorial step by step to recreate my own. This is the result. I put the subscribe button also in this last scene.
This project has been a challenging yet rewarding experience. I am incredibly grateful to my lecturer, Prof. Madya Dr. Siti Mahfuzah Binti Sarif, for her invaluable guidance throughout the process.
The channel ident clip highlights a vibrant travel theme, utilizing a visually dynamic approach. It integrates consistent branding elements like a soft pastel palette (blue, green, coral, and yellow) and the Lemon Milk font, ensuring alignment with the channel banner. The animation features playful transitions, such as airplane routes and zooming effects, symbolizing exploration and relaxation. Despite some technical hurdles, the ident successfully conveys the channel’s energetic identity, creating a cohesive and engaging introduction for viewers.
The creative decisions aimed to enhance viewer engagement through dynamic visuals that reflect the platform’s purpose. These elements together ensure the ident serves as a seamless extension of the channel banner, delivering a cohesive, inviting introduction.
